Castelnau, Barnes

In order to maximise the garden view, the ground floor glazing was conceived as a series of sliding doors akin to Japanese screens. The kitchen units extend seamlessly from inside to an external patio, so that in the summer the clients can cook for and entertain large numbers of people on the terrace.

A summer annexe/home office was also introduced in the garden, using the same timber cladding as the fencing, and Maxlight glazing that matched the main house. As the client is an interior designer (www.studio152.co.uk) the internal design was both a collaboration and a blend of contemporary aesthetic whilst retaining the period features.

We completed the renovation and extension of a large semi-detached house in Barnes with an interior designer client.
