Our clients purchased this spacious late Victorian detached house in Tooting and asked us to significantly upgrade and extend it and whilst doing so give it a new twist.
They were not keen on the ubiquitous large open plan rear kitchen, living room/dining room with vast expanses of glazing facing on to the garden … they wanted something a bit different.
New York lofts were mentioned in our first meeting with the clients and so we decided that exposed brickwork, industrial windows and generous floor ceiling heights would give the project the look and feel of a former warehouse that had been restored and modernised to suit a new purpose.
