Highfields Pool, Oxshott
We were asked by a previous client to design a new swimming pool. During the briefing and design process, the scope of work grew and we finally settled on a slightly larger scope of work… a swimming pool, a gymnasium, full changing facilities plus a relaxation area.
In other words a full-on leisure centre for their family! Because of the scale of the operation, we elected to design the new building using industrial construction techniques, with all the steel structure exposed.
So although it is a totally private initiative, and located in the garden of a private house, the new swimming pool does have the feel of a dynamic modern leisure centre, and has proved immensely popular with friends and family alike.
